AnxietyAnxiety is a normal human emotion, we all experience anxiety in our lives at some point.Anxiety is often triggered by life changing events, such as loss or a build up of stress over time. A small level of anxiety is good for us, it gets us up in a morning, maintains our focus, and keeps us safe. When our anxiety level gets too high, this will have a negative impact on our lives, anxiety may then stop us doing the things that we used to enjoy, we may start to feel vulnerable or that life is out of our control and start to avoid situations that where previously normal or enjoyable to us. We could possibly at this point start to have Panic Attacks, around one in four people suffer with panic or anxiety attacks at some point in their lives. Symptoms of Anxiety
Talking with a counsellor can help you to regain some balance in your life, this will in turn start to reduce your anxiety levels.Sometimes when we are anxious we don't take such good care of ourselves, it is important to have a balanced diet, get some gentle exercise, regular sleep patterns, socialise, and to take time out to relax. As a counsellor I can help you to see what is causing your anxiety and look at ways to change this. Working together we can find a way that helps you personally feel less anxious and to start and enjoy your life.
